Today was a great way to start the weekend....
Today in our field studies class we took a trip to the hilly portion of Barcelona. This part of the city is much less "touristy" and many more locals live here, it is also very quiet and not as flashy. It reminded me of San Fransisco (though I have never been)...because you could look all the way down the steepness of the street to the flatter portions of Barcelona. To get there we had to ride the metro...this was very fun, I have only been on a metro once and that was in D.C. This metro is huge and navigating it was a challenge luckily our professor knows what she is doing!
Once we arrived we took a short hike up to the top of the Mt. Carmel, which is the highest point in Barcelona...though there are mountains right on the outskirts of the city...but this mountain is actually in the city of Barcelona. Once there we had amazing views of the city...simply breathtaking!
France is over that mountain!
Barcelona skyline!!! The beach in the distance is amazing
The metro in Barcelona
The camera takes great photos haha
My own personal postcards....I would actually send this out if it was not so expensive!
Post card number 2!
This spot had only like 2 other people there...besides our group very secluded...but even they were in the photo shooting mood.
View from the path walking down the mountain!

ReplyDeleteWOW! These place look amazing. Im sure you were glad to get away from the crowd for a while. I also see the foreign surrounding didn't dent that class Alvin photo geniality. LoL. It looks like your having a blast.

ReplyDeleteThe one with you looking off into the distance is a keeper. Gotta make that into a postcard. I'm going to do some messin' around with it and see what possibilities result.
