Here is a video that I made from some of the footage I took while on the bus tour the other day....it has taken so long to put this on the blog b/c the wireless here has SLOWED down drastically since everyone has gotten here, so I didn't have enough time to upload the video to YouTube and paste the link on here. Any how make sure you look at it in a place where YouTube can be accessed. Sorry about the poor video quality too (it was SHOT in full HD) but again the wireless here is terrible and every time I tried to load HD video the server would time out. So I had to reduce the resolution waaaaaay down, anyhow take a look:

This is a 3D photo from Google Earth of The Plaza Catalunya, this is Barcelona's "Times Square". I have never been to New York but based off of pictures, movies, and second hand info this Plaza makes Times square look like a slumber party...there are SOOOO many people here during the evening. The highlighted building (yea the 6 story one) is Corte Ingles the HUGE mega department store/grocery store that is like Walmart, the one I went shopping in the other day.
This is a 3D photo from Google Earth of La Rambla (where the yellow arrow is) this is a major thorough fare for street vendors, shops, restaurants and everything else nightlife in Barcelona! It is an extension of the plaza above. The green arrow is where my dorm is in relation to all of this. About a ten minute walk...
And here is another 3D photo from Google Earth showing my Dorm in relation to all the surrounding buildings! I am on the Top floor (6th) second to last room on the hallway!
And on a side note....WHAT HAPPENED TO LSU?!?!?!?! They choked like Clemson during our bowl game....
Field study class today...hopefully will take a lot of pictures!
The city looks so close together, but anyway, I can only imagine the amount of peoople over there. At least since you are on the 6th floor, you wont have to worry about any vagrants wandering in at your door.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right. I was over at your old man's house last night to watch the game. They had 40 days to get ready for this game and all they came up with was THAT. Completely outplayed....to the point that they looked lost. Luckily, the defense remembered what they were there for and prevented a major whooping.
