A weight has been lifted...and a weight has been gained!

Today I finally felt settled in and comfortable with everything going on here! Finished all of my initial shopping...(got dish detergent, laundry detergent, cleaning stuff, actually food to prepare etc). Some of the students and myself went "shopping" today in some of the fancy stores here in Barcelona, and apparently since it is still not that far off from Christmas many of the stores had sales!! Long story short I spent ONLY 20 Euros (25 USD) on a Peat Coat/blazer/sweater "European mix coat" haha. I like it and apparently so do the locals here...I feel like I blend in more now (probably not). Had my first prepared meal here tonight...fixed a chorizo sausage, ham and cheese sandwich! And had an apple...but not just any apple one of my favorites a PINK LADY APPLE!!!! Had two different conversations fully in Spanish with some employees in the store (one was a little rough but I made it through haha). To sum it up: for the first time here I felt a little less worried about the next few hours and more comfortable!

Now for the weight that has been gained....CLASSES START TOMORROW! haha. I am excited for the field study course and the Spanish culture course. My semester abroad officially starts tomorrow morning at 9:00 am! Wish me luck! Buenos noches (Good night)!
