This week marks the final stretch of my time abroad in Europe, so I have decided I will begin my reflections on my time here. Instead of doing it all together in one laborious (and probably wordy) blog I will split it up throughout the week.
Sunday:
Yesterday was nice and relaxing, I didn't really do too much. I did complete some more work on my final paper for Independent Studies...the last paper would be the one that I procrastinate on. Ironically this is the paper that I have the most material and inspiration to write about too...I am enjoying my time in Stuttgart to much, it is distracting me haha!
Monday:
Yesterday I did a little bit of shopping around Stuttgart, I found some "European" style clothing that I think I can "pull off". Europeans dress so differently from US (pun intended) so hopefully I can take the best of both worlds and make my new clothes work. Visited a German store called "Real" which appeared to be like a Wal-mart; they had groceries, clothes, electronics, and all the other stuff Wal-mart seems to have. I didn't get any clothes from here but I did by some delicious German chocolate..."Ritter Sport". I normally am not a huge chocolate person but this stuff is different! Hopefully it will make it back to the states so everyone else can try some, but I cannot make any promises.
And now for my reflections...
I have spent the majority of my time in Barcelona, Spain (obviously) and I have come to know the city, in many ways, better than the Charleston Peninsula. I have visited Madrid, Toledo, and Valencia which are also in Spain. I have spent three nights in Rome, 6 hours in London, a week in northern Germany, and now a week in Southern Germany. Unfortunately I have not made it to all of the parts of Europe that I wanted to visit but still, in my opinion, an impressive list of European sight seeing. All of this is just adding to my excuse of coming back here one day...I did throw two coins in the Trevi fountain in Rome, so it means I will make a fast return to the city! I have learned a whole lot about different cultures, and myself...I'll elaborate on this later. I have been extremely blessed with this opportunity to "tour Europe" and strangely for the majority of my time here everything felt surreal; now that my time is almost up I think the realization that I actually am "here" is starting to sink in...and it is an incredible feeling! My journey is not quite finished but in less than 100 hours I will be back home. More to come tomorrow!
I head to the Black Forest tomorrow...it should be great!
Wish I were there with you and the Masters family!!!!!! Love you, Aunt Jane

Trust me when you see the selection they have over here in Germany...the stuff we have in the states is a joke...they literally have hundreds of flavors.
